Mini Bio

Research Interests: Electrochemistry/Environmental/Analytical Chemistry

My research group focusses on the study and development of synthetic and biomass polymer based materials and study of their interaction with other molecules of interest. Our objectives are to employ these functional materials for the following project themes:

  1. Polymer nanomaterials for fabrication of frugal multiresponsive (especially pH, redox, ionic strength) screen printed sensors for applications in precision agriculture, environmental monitoring and noninvasive health monitoring wearable devices.
  2. Biobased polymer nanomaterials for encapsulation and controlled release of drugs (e.g. pharmaceuticals, herbicides, nutraceuticals etc.).
  3. Utilization of biobased (agricultural waste) materials as bioinks for 3D fabricating of innovative consumer products.

Research Key Words: Electrochemistry, Biosensors, Responsive Polymers and Hydrogels, Cellulose Nanocrystals, Analytical Separations
