One of the pillars of MacEwan University is Student-Engaged Research, that is, research accessible and engaging to students from all programs at MacEwan. Since 2012, I have supervised or co-supervised over 30 MacEwan undergraduate students on a variety of projects. My interdisciplinary research has attracted students from a diversity of programs, including Chemistry, Earth Science, Biology, and Psychology.
Students under my supervision gain valuable skills in all aspects of research, including experimental design, the use of highly specialized equipment, and public speaking. MacEwan University undergraduate students have been the primary authors of presentations at local, national, and international conferences, as well as academic papers.
I am currently accepting students for independent research projects (CHEM 398 or CHEM 498) research projects or summer research positions. If interested, please contact me for more information.
A number of funding opportunities for MacEwan students are available through the Office of Research Services.
As MacEwan University is focused on undergraduate education, I do not have any MSc, PhD or post-doctoral positions available.
