Personality testing validity challenged

Schools love to jump on the latest band wagon.  For some reason when I was growing up, the standard explanation for following a new trend was “It worked in California”.  I am not sure why it was acceptable, but no one seemed to question it.

Personality testing is one of the trends that has been around for a while but I never thought it came out of the 1920s.  Multiple intelligences and learning styles are two more trends that appear to be unquestionable in schools now.

I hope reading this article will give people some food for thought.
