In my professional practice, I have worked in a variety of roles over the course of my career including child welfare investigations, working with youth involved in high risk behaviours, managing the Protection of Children Involved in Prostitution program for Alberta Children’s Services and I was Senior Manager responsible for Crime Prevention and Restorative Justice with Alberta Solicitor General and Public Security during my time with the Alberta public service.

I came to MacEwan in 1991 as a sessional instructor and then accepted an appointment as a full time instructor in the Correctional Services program in 2007. In July, 2011 I took over as Chair of the Correctional Services program and became Public Safety and Justice Studies Department Chair between 2015 and 2019. I am currently an Associate Professor with the Department.

I have linked to a number of sites and RSS Feeds related to Corrections, Justice and government.
